Tooth Whitening
What whitening techniques are available?

There are two main tooth whitening techniques which can be used separately or in combination depending on the individual requirements and preferences. The most popular technique we use is power whitening using the Zoom technology as seen on extreme makeover. We normally follow this with a take-home kit to give the best result. Alternatively, the home whitening can be carried out alone but this takes longer.

How long will the procedure take?

The length of treatment will depend on the state of your teeth and the results you want to achieve. On average, the power whitening session takes 1-1.5 hours and then we recommend use of the follow-up kit for 1-2 weeks for 1 hour a day. You will need to discuss your requirements and expectations with your dentist in Coventry at Dental Perfection.

Hollywood Smile

What is Hollywood Smile?

Hollywood Smile is a smile makeover. It's a Supra Natural White, perfectly aligned attractive looking teeth. It takes in consideration the skin color, the gum position, the front teeth color and size, and of course the position of the upper teeth with the lower lip.

Transform your entire appearance painlessly with lumineers.

Smiling should be a happy, enjoyable experience, not stressful or embarrassing. With lumineers, you no longer have to hide your smile and you don’t have to endure lengthy, uncomfortable procedures to get the smile you enjoy sharing with the world.

Lumineers offer a painless procedure with sensitivity free results. They have permanently white results and it’s quick and easy.

Tooth Coloured Fillings

You can choose tooth-coloured fillings to match the colour of your teeth, making them a natural-looking alternative to old amalgam fillings. The simplest type of aesthetic filling is what people commonly refer to as “bonding”. This filling is performed by the dentist in one single sitting and is comprised of a composite resin material (a mixture of glass and resin particles) that is placed into smaller cavities and bonded or adhered to the tooth chemically with special liquid “bonding agents”. They can be used for reshaping the front teeth, or even closing open spaces and of course new strong aesthetic fillings allowed us to use them in the back teeth too where the grinding and chewing applies great stresses on them.

Cosmetic Electrosurgery

Pink aesthetics involves the surgical correction of defects in the gums using electrosurgery.

The restoration of receding gums is possible by mucogingival plastic surgery – giving an impeccable aesthetic result, in other words we can make long teeth look shorter without touching the tooth structure itself.

Also in cases of short teeth a procedure known as crown lengthening is done to make it longer.

Sometimes the smile can be dramatically improved in appearance through gum treatments leaving the teeth alone.

Tooth Jewels

If you have the desire to endow your smile with a tooth jewel, be prepared that it can significantly change the way you look. In your consultation you will choose a jewel and the condition of your tooth will be checked for suitability. The attachment of the jewel does not affect the enamel of the tooth and so if removed the health of the tooth should remain unaffected.

Gum Disease Treatment

Periodontal (Gum) disease is an infection of the tissues supporting and surrounding the teeth. It is mainly caused by the accumulation of bacteria from the dental plaque that inflames and damages the gums. This chronic infection attacks below the gum line where it breaks down the attachment of the tooth and its supporting tissues.

Regular dental check-ups and examinations are important because it is possible to have gum infections without the usual signs and symptoms. They may advance painlessly, exhibiting few evident signs even in the late phase of the disease. This explains the increased risk of losing one's teeth.
